Christmas morning 08'

Jack getting ready to go to sleep on Christmas eve totally clueless as to what was going to happen in the morning.

In the morning I let him open a gift from his papa and it was this darling piggy bank which he loves. He just kept staring at it because it has tractors and trucks all over it. Thanks Papa Mark!

Getting excited about going over to his cousins house! He loves his two cousins, Brody and Xander, and he knew we where going over there to open presents.

Lots of things with four wheels. He got a HUGE dump truck from Brody and Xander and a school bus from Santa. He loves anything with wheels!

This was a BIG hit. A sax from Gram and Peeps. It was the one gift he would not put down. Hopefully his love of instruments continues!

I had to document the fact that Jack is OBSESSED with pianos. Heidi and Stan have this beautiful piano and Jack will play with it on and off the whole time we are there. He Sssh's everyone who talks while he is playing. Cute at first, a little annoying after 3 hours!

We had an awesome Christmas and it just gets more fun the older Jack gets. Although most of these pictures are of Jack openning presents we are trying really hard to not make it the focus of our Christmas. We really want it to be about spending time with family and loved ones and focus on the true meaning of Christmas. I am excited about starting our family traditions and making Christmas as fun and memorable as both Dan and I remember ours being! Hope everyone had a great Holiday!

Jacks New Room

We finally put Jack in a "big boy" bed and it has been so great! I love the way his room turned out and we really only did minor changes. Jack LOVES his new room and has been sleeping great...why didn't I do this sooner!?!

His favorite feature are the lights above his bed. He could play with them all day!

These wto are quite the pair. I got to have Luke over for a little bit and they were cracking me up! They both have such funny personalities and have a lot of fun together. I took them both to Costco and everyone asked me if they were twins! Funny boys!

I love this picture because they both were holding a train and watching TV and Jack looks totally hammered because he just woke up from his nap.

Hope everyone has an amazing Christmas this year! We are so blessed to have so many family and friends who we love dearly. We will be thinking about you as we are remembering how lucky and grateful we are this year!

Christmas Photos 2008

Thanks to my unbelievably talented sister-in-law we were able to catch some cute pictures. We always make it very challenging for her with a very active toddler and about 20 minutes left of light but like always she pulls it off. Thanks Kristina can't wait to see the others!

The many faces of Jack: Part 2

I just can't get enough of this kid! He is so fun and loving lately I could just squeeze and kiss him all day long. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving weekend!

Shish

I took Jack to the Aquarium today and to my delightful surprise Jack absolutely loved it! I have never seen this kids stand and watch something for so long! He loved the jellyfish and the big tanks full of lots of colorful tropical fish.

I mean seriously I have never been able to get a picture of Jack this close without it being blurry!

We went with two of Jacks favorite pals, Luke Fisher (cousin) and Daxton Cannon (neighbor).

Could not get enough of it. He was saying "shish" (fish) the whole time.

He also was saying Ooh! the whole time too.

Anyway I am now a big fan of the Aquarium and even better a season pass was only $15...can't beat it!

Halloween 08

We had two fun filled nights of Halloween, candy, and costumes...and I am exhausted! Here are some pictures of our little "captain Jack".

I had to throw this picture in because it is with him and some of his friends and well it was pretty hilarious trying to catch a picture and believe it or not this was the best one.

Pumpkins

Fall is in the air and I could not be more happy about it! It has been a beautiful fall in Utah and we have been loving the weather. We decided to have a little family night and carve some pumpkins. Besides the mess it was pretty fun and I love having them outside our house! Hope everyone's having a great fall!

Jack was so excited about lighting the pumpkins. He has been so fun lately and I have loved playing with him. He has got the funniest little personality...I just can't get enough of it!

3 years and still happy!

This is one of my favorite pictures of Dan and myself.

I always say that I feel like I have been married to Dan for way longer than just 3 years, but here we are 3 years together and still alive and kicking! I have to say that the last 3 years have been the most exciting and happiest of my life. I love being married to my best friend and I feel that we are so compatible that sometimes its a little scary.

For our anniversary this year Dan was so thoughtful and gave me 3 gold bands that represent the 3 years we have been married. We were also married on the 3rd so basically it is just a beautiful reminder of our marriage. It is simple and classic and right up my ally...I love it. Thanks you honey your the best! Love ya!

I know, I know...

I am getting really bad at updating! I've decided that I'll update more if I have to write less so here are pictures from my last trip to Farmington, Bella's B-day party, and other random ones.

My mom...isn't she beautiful. I hope I look like her when I'm a grandma! It was her B-day while I was there and I was so happy I got to be there for it!

Back to Blogging

I'm not sure why but the thought of blogging these last few weeks just made me cringe. It's probably the fact that I'm so tired I can barely make it through the necessary routine of life and the fact that I have crazy hormones running through my body. Anyway I told myself I wasn't going to blog until that went away, so here we are no cringing to be seen and ready to blog!

Let's see where to start...I was in Farmington about 3 weeks ago and we had an absolute BLAST! I realized after I got home that Jack had been totally amused 100% of the time and he was way bored with his old life. He learned a few tricks of the trade from his wild and crazy cousins and he misses them sooo much! I stole these pictures from Leah's blog.



Our little Jack is what some would call wild but we like to think of him as free spirited! You can tell from the nicknames what I'm dealing with: 30 pound bowling ball, bulldozer, wrecking ball, bull in a china cabinet...the list goes on. He goes full speed all day long and anything or one who gets in his way is plowed down. We have been trying really hard how to be soft and give hugs instead of maul and tackle and I think he is getting the hang of it. The only problem is he wants to hug and kiss anything that moves (including the weird guy at the park the other day, time to teach him a new lesson!) Anyway I love his little personality but it just might be the death of me!

Here are some pictures we took from our weekend up at Snowbird. It was so beautiful and a much needed break from our fast paced lives. These pictures are taken from the deck of our condo...I love the mountains!





Well on to some baby news. I realize I still haven't officially announced that I'm pregnant but I think most everyone knows by now. I am feeling really good now and finally able to exercise but I still must say I just about hate everything about being pregnant...besides the fact that I get to have a beautiful baby at the end of all of this. We have found out that we are having a GIRL and I can now say that I am so excited!!! Anyone who had talked to me in the last few months knew that I was 110% percent sure that we were having another boy, well obviously I was wrong and I have found myself in an unknown territory of dress, flowers, pink, bows, and the list goes on but I have been having a blast! I am sure this little girl is going to be beautiful and amazing and we are getting anxious to meet her!
